Why have your existential crisis?
Is there a basic instinct? That comes not pre ordained but, appears so? Are our worlds a function of responses to threat of pain in each of its multiple forms? Have we forged our lives around Survival the now Thirve-al, which is ever more visible and tangible and virtually unfair. Then its not about a 'me' and a 'you'. Its not, then, about our feelings at the moment - the god question does not arise because it is a similar response to Fear and not to Curiosity to know and it is in that latter than Religion Technology and Progress reside. And that latter, if isn't the question makes for a curiously null existential crisis.
Is this a Mind/Body dualism? Is it a Consciousness debate?
I think not.
It's - to use a current notoriously crude word - Mechanical.
